About the Pastor
.
Pastor Harold Goodloe is a native of Athens, Alabama. He was born the forth of eight children, five sons and three daughters, to Leroy and Ella Goodloe on December 4, 1951. Pastor Goodloe attended Trinity High School in Athens, and graduated in 1969. After spending some turbulent and troublesome years, as a teenager and young adult, Pastor Goodloe made a total surrender of his life to the Lord, and was baptized in 1983 as a charter member into the New Life Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Huntsville, Alabama.

On August 24, 1983, Pastor Goodloe married the love of his life, the former Debra Garth, of Decatur, Alabama. They were blessed with five wonderful children and five terrific grandchildren.

About six months after being baptized, Pastor Goodloe felt God's calling to the ministry. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oakwood College in 1989 with a B.A. in Theology. After a year in Seminary at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, he began his ministry as Associate Pastor of Emerald City Church in Seattle, Washington in 1990 under Pastors Roscoe Howard and Hector Mouzon. He was then selected to Pastor the Breath of Life SDA Church in Seattle; and was blessed to baptized 29 precious souls.

Pastor Goodloe and his wife, Debra, moved to Nevada, where he became Senior Pastor of Abundant Life SDA Church in Las Vegas, where he and his congregation built a new sanctuary in 1999. In 2001 the Real Truth Seminar was held, and 135 new members were baptized and the New Life SDA Church was established. He also served as Director of African-American Ministries for the Nevada-Utah Conference.

Pastor and Mrs. Goodloe, returned to Alabama in 2002, to serve as the Senior Pastor of the New Life SDA Church in Huntsville, Alabama, where he baptized over 200 members during his tenure.

In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Goodloe has served as a member of the Oakwood Adventist Academy School Board, a board member for the Northwest Community Development, District Six, and a member of the Huntsville City Interdenominational Alliance, Executive Director of Huntsville Community Revitalization and Empowerment, Inc., and Chairman of the Human Relations Commission of the city of Huntsville.

Pastor Goodloe has sought to be faithful to his calling through an abiding commitment to Jesus Christ, and continually aspires to educate, equip, and empower God's people for the work of ministry and the edifying the body of Christ.
